  • These are the Policy ot 4Story.
    Please read them carefully to avoid any unfortunate circumstances.
  • 1. General Rules
  • 1-1. This policy between Zemi Interactive Co., Ltd. and user
  • (hereinafter referred to as the "User(s)") is to stipulate the terms and conditions of using the game, 4Story On-line and game web site (http://global.4story.com). Therefore, the Company and the Users are obliged to check, confirm and follow these terms of use from time to time and also to be in strict compliance with the policy.
    4STORY Online GM (Game Master) team of Zemi Interactive Co., Ltd has the authority to establish, modify and delete the policy.
    Any changes of the contents of the game policy will be announced in advance. (Refer to the notice section on the official 4STORY Online webpage)
    Please note that Operator will not help users with problems that are already informed by GM.
  • 1-2. Both Users and Administrative Team (GM) are to follow the rules and policy
  • so that they can create the best conditions to play the game, 4STORY Online. Note that suggestions and opinions will not be taken lightly to Administrative Team, so Users are Free and responsible to make suggestions and questions.
  • 2. Subject Here!!
  • 2-1. Right of Customer
  • Users can claim their rights followed by the policy. In a case when a user is treated improperly in the game or from the community of website, one may report to GMs through SUPPORT / 1:1 INQUIRY section. Plus, when one has questions or suggestions, they can also do the same.
  • 2-2. Conditions and Operation Regulations
  • The users are to inform to the Administrative team or GMs if there are any violations in the game or website. The Administrative Team will accept all valid evidences submitted by any users.
  • 2-3. Cooperation with GM
  • Everyone must respond quickly as possible when the GMs are requesting for cooperation whether from inside the game or in the webpage.
  • 3. Role of GM
  • 3-1. Role of GM
  • a. The GM's role is to build positive and fun environment for users to play the game as interacting with them. Unpredictable troubles between users in the game may occur due to the differences of cultures. We expect our users to come from many different cultures, so when conflicts occur, GMs should be informed and handle them. Consequently, GMs may serve as enforcers to deal with the problem but they must make sure not to hinder any of the users in the game.
  • b. The order by which the GMs will provide service is according to pre-determined guidelines which also include the customer support process. All users will be treated fairly, and the GMs will promote equality and fairness to all.
  • The GMs will investigate thoroughly all forms of bugs and bug abusers. Anyone caught abusing system bugs will be punished accordingly as stated in the conditions and operation policy of the game.
  • 3-2. Consultation Period
  • The GMs will always be available to help users that require assistance. Make sure to talk to OFFICIAL 4Story GM in order to be assisted or to get problem solved.
  • a. Consultation inside the game
  • During set time period of Consultation, users are encouraged and allowed to ask or talk to GMs in the game by Chat box. GM characters can easily be distinguished because of their look of characters. When a user has inquiries or questions, just approach to GMs, and Make sure to ask relevant questions or inquiries.
  • * 4Story GMs character is different from the rest of the characters.
       There are GM letters in the front of their names. Ex) GM...
    * GMs may possess the item or character which does not exist in the game.
    * GMs may possess some functions that are not available for user in the game.
  • b. Other Matters
  • * GM Impersonation
  • GMs will not answer any personal information and account information of self or any other user. Anyone caught in the act of impersonating a GM and has caused harm or uses the "GM" account for hacking will be given a heavy punishment or even character deletion. Accomplices will also be punished depending on the amount of their participation.
  • * Interfering with the work of GMs
  • Oftentimes, some users will keep on repeating the same questions even though the investigation is already completed. They will also be accused from the management. When the investigation has ended and a decision has already been made, it can't be undone or reversed. Interfering with the work of a GM can be a basis for a corresponding punishment.
  • * Ignoring a GM request or command
  • Whenever a GM is requesting for your presence, always try to follow his/her orders. The GM needs cooperation from the users whenever they request for the presence of gamers.
  • * Deceiving GMs by giving false information
  • The GM team is always giving their best in providing assistance to all users' queries. Never submit false information for personal profit. False information affects the accuracy and slows the investigation of the reports submitted.
  • * Cursing or secret trades
  • The GMs will always be patrolling the game, inside or outside by tools in invisible mode. Gamers should always remember not to use languages that are inappropriate and unethical while talking to a GM as well as to each other. This also applies to the web forums. The use of vulgar or inappropriate language will be subjected to punishments.
  • 3-3. GMs In-game Participation
  • GMs will most likely not party with users or take part in guild. But sometimes when it's necessary for GMs to decide that they need to be involved in playing game with users for certain reasons, they may. GMs' purpose is not to level users up or give help to particular user, instead GMs are always trying to create better environment for all users.
  • 4. Data Analysis Policy
  • 4-1. All items and characters inside the games
  • are data that are stored inside the server of the company that operates it. The company can provide data to users upon proper request. The corresponding data that the user requested can only be processed if the user agreed to the terms set by the company which is protected from copyright law.
    When a user is complaining about the ownership of a disputed account, a thorough investigation will be undertaken. Once the investigation is completed, some form of compensation will be given to the affected user.

    In case the paid service received an error response that will lose its commercial value, the GM team will thoroughly investigate if the corresponding condition is subjected for compensation. However, this error rarely occurs.
  • 4-2. The Company will give compensation or act
  • properly if he/she is proven innocent in the investigation.
  • 4-3. Item disappearing due to technical errors
  • will be noted by the GMs. The GMs will gladly help those who were affected by this technical glitch.
  • 4-4. The character and item information of the user
  • cannot be obtained without hacking/infringing/bypassing the server.
  • 5. Account and Character Name Policy
  • 5-1. The Administration Team
  • will not disclose users' information to other users. Only when there is a request from a government and/or law enforcement in accordance with the procedures prescribed by relevant laws, will there be any such disclosure.
  • 5-2. Users are responsible for maintaining
  • the confidentiality of their own accounts and all relevant duties followed by the account policy.
  • 5-3. The Company and Operation Team or Administration Team
  • cannot resolve or assist with any problem with accounts that is caused due to the user's carelessness. Users will also be in charge of the responsibility.
  • a. Problems that arise from transfer of user accounts and characters.
    b. Problems that arise from negligent management of a user
  • 5-4. Users can choose their character names freely.
  • However, character names may be corrected/modified/deleted for the following reasons.
  • a. Names that are found to be offensive and/or abusive to others
    b. Names that impersonate or give the impression of official company representatives,
        GM's, and other Company's employees
    c. Names that resemble or may cause confusion with GM names already in existence.
    d. Lewd or discriminatory character names
    e. Character names that advocate antisocial or illegal actions
    f. Racist or sexist or sexually harassing character names
    g. Character names that persecute a specific individual or are libelous towards them.
    h. Character names that infringe or may violate third party trademarks, copyrights
    i. Character names that approximate to or resemble vulgar and/or offensive words.
  • 6. System or bug abuse
  • 6-1. Some user abuses bug or system problem inside the game.
  • This bug or system problem destroys the integrity of the game. Users who will get caught in the act of abusing these bugs will be punished accordingly. When a bug is discovered, kindly inform to GMs immediately so they can initiate a quick and accurate investigation of bugs
  • 6-2. The operation teams
  • will be monitoring and guarding the game against system and bug abuse. It is their duty to control it appropriately and fairly.
  • a. Disables the account and delete the date of related data in the game when there is
  • * An act by a user to abuse these errors
    * An act where users gain profit by abusing the system or bug errors
  • b. Disable account when
  • * The act of intentionally distributing inappropriate things, system or program bugs and other errors.
  • c. Deletion of related Data
  • * Unintentionally using illegal things, system or program bugs or errors that were not previously reported.
  • 7. Recovery Policy
  • It is possible to recover that GMs by 4story log systems when game errors occur. (user characters and items disappeared may be restored)
    However, GMs do not recover when they can not find the data in the log system or with tools that they run. (ex: when died due to lag)
  • 1) GMs are not obligated to recover or restore your characters or items in following cases.
  • - Loosing items by users' own fault or mistake
    - When there is a notice announced in advance about change in items or characters.
    - When there is no response from a user after giving warnings or informed individually
  • 2) GMs will delete user's characters or remove items for game update. But again, in this case, there will be an announcement and other compensations will be suggested.
  • 8. Accounts Security
  • 8-1. It is important for the service
  • provider to safely guard the accounts of their own. Game accounts basically have all the personal information of users. It's not guaranteed that this information will not be leaked or spread in other sites that could cause damage to the users. We urge our users to install anti-hacking or anti-virus programs to prevent malicious programs from entering your PCs. We also advice everyone to regularly change passwords to protect individual personal information and accounts
  • 8-2. Users must register personal information to create their accounts.
  • Anyone caught using other people's personal information in creating accounts can be subjected to a corresponding punishment.
  • 8-3. GMs are not responsible
  • if a joint account encounters a problem in transactions that involves cash/items. The company cannot provide support or take responsibility for the damage received by users with joint accounts.
  • 8-4. In case that a user
  • is suspected of copying personal information from other accounts, the customer support section is always available to provide service as quickly as possible
  • 9. Scamming
  • 9-1. "Scamming" is
  • a term used for intentionally deceiving another character/user for personal profit. This act violates fair play and operation policies. Anyone caught scamming will be punished accordingly
  • 9-2. When trading items with other users,
  • be careful of those users that will offer lower amounts than the required amount. Always be cautious and careful when trading with others
  • 9-3. Anyone caught impersonating
  • a specific character or GM for personal profit will be punished accordingly
  • 9-4. Offering an incorrect price in the Auto Trade
  • that's different from the actual price to deceive other players or selling different items from the actual items in the auto trade will be regarded as "scamming" by GMs
  • 9-5. GMs are advising everyone
  • to be extra careful in all transactions to prevent incidence of scamming
  • 10. Customer Service Policy
  • 10-1. The GMs main objective is
  • to provide the best environment and bring users' satisfaction. The GMs' task is to create a game environment that is fun, enjoyable and hassle-free. We provide real-time solutions for the inquiries of users. We make sure we listen to all opinions and suggestions of our valued customers. When there is a problem in-game, the GMs will take the users to a certain place to talk about the problem. We believe that providing excellent service is essential for attaining customer satisfaction. 1:1 inquiry section is one of the best ways to contact GMs and Administration team. GMs will answer to your questions or suggestions in 3 working days at most.
  • 10-2. The GMs will be the one
  • who will supervise all game violation of users in relation to the condition and operation of the company. We will be responsible for all users' records and server information. We will strictly abide by the operation policy established by the company. Using duplicated items can lead to get heavy punishment.
  • 10-3. These followings will display the list of violations
  • that could destroy the credibility of the game. The judgment of the GMs will be used for applying the laws and corresponding penalties.

  • When a user gets continuous warming from GM or Game Administrator, cumulative punishment will be judged.
  • 7. Penalty for Hacking
  • Again, remember that handling and keeping your account is your responsibility. Users must be responsible enough to protect their accounts against hacking. Please read the Hack Prevention section and familiarize yourself with the different methods of hacking
  • 7-1 Hacking
  • a. Joint ownership of accounts
  • As a means to quickly level a character, users create a joint account. The other person may suddenly change the password of the account after he/she has deleted a character. Things clearly become more complicated when having a joint account because you don't have the sole ownership of the account.
  • b. Exchanging of Accounts
  • After users inside the game have exchanged other¡¯s accounts, and in case the motive of the exchange was hacking, the accounts used will be disconnected instantly after being verified of hacking. Sometimes these hackers use and fake false name. GMs have the access to find out the information of accounts and all transactions that occur. The users must keep in mind that GMs don't ask for customers' account information.
  • c. Exposure of Password
  • Be responsible in protecting your password. Never share your passwords to your friends, relatives and others. Account Information must always be kept confidential. Revealing your password might lead to hacking- items and characters can be lost. You must always be careful to ones that might hack your accounts, again, we urge you to be extra careful in this matter.
  • d. Hacking Tool
  • A lot of hacking programs have sprouted in the net. These devices will enter your PC discreetly and these hacking tools can be obtained by visiting certain sites with viruses. When your PC has a weak security and anti-virus system, the hacking program will enter and embed itself in your Active X. Once established, the one who sent you that hacking tool will be able to see your personal information and passwords in your PC.
  • 7-2 Hack Prevention
  • a. One should not use his/her personal information as password. It is advisable to frequently change your password by using a combination of letters and numbers.
  • b. Be careful when reading mails with suspicious attachment. Sometimes these attachments contain files that may harm your PC. Avoid malicious sites that may contain viruses or hacking programs. These programs store ID and any passwords you enter in your computer. You must be always be careful in guarding your passwords so that it will not be exposed
  • c. Regularly run your anti-virus program. You should also regularly update you virus list for to catch up with the new viruses sprouting up. You can also install adware to prevent spywares that may harm your computer. It's not advisable to enter suspicious sites without using these programs.
  • 7-3 Hacking Compensation
  • a. The users will only be given 1 week to report their hack cases. Reports of hacking after the 1 week period will not be considered nor accepted.
  • b. Returning to the exact characteristics/attributes of the items hacked is impossible. Other compensation will be implemented (The GMs will be the one who makes decisions)
  • c. If the investigation on a hacked account is proven false, or has not met the condition of the operation policy, the company won't give any compensation to the customer
  • d. The hacked item will be deleted so that there will be no possibility of it being used again.
  • 8. Abusive User/Watch list
  • 8-1. The account is considered part of the watch list
  • when, at the game or in the website, the user utters curses to others/violates rules of conduct or destroy the credibility of the game by abusing system bugs.
    Above all, users must create a game culture that is healthy and enjoyable to all. Those ones, who destroy the gaming environment as whole or part of a group, will be given a corresponding penalty.
  • 8-2. The GM team will decide
  • when, at the game or in the website, the user utters curses to others/violates rules of conduct or destroy the credibility of the game by abusing system bugs.
  • a. The GM will be looking at the personal information of the users¡¯ Nationality, Religion, Country, Location, Sex and educational background while investigating the reasons behind unacceptable conducts like cursing or insulting other users
  • b. Anyone will be able to continue to play the game when they are to simply follow the rules of conduct mentioned above.
  • c. GM or any one related to them that assumes a false name and causes damage to others
  • d. Selling gold/items to other accounts
  • e. Using macro programs that destroys the credibility of the game
  • f. Abusing of system/bug, or using hack client programs, or other hacking programs will be punished as above
  • g. Spreading rumors about the company that damages the credibility of the company will be considered as hacking.
