Every Weapons and Armors have durability that decreases every time the item is used.
Once the durability reaches 0, the item no long functions properly and needs to be repaired.
Items' durability can be upgraded through refining procedure.

[Refine Enginner]Astin in Lonbarei Training camp in Horusland, [Refine Engineer]Hestia in Magnaksia Military District in Kether, located in DeFugel are in charge of Refining.
In Croxion, [Refine Instructor]Kalbert in Kuznets Advanced Base in Yesod and [Refine Instructor]Latmo in the Headquarter of Blo Brunak Magic Knights in Malkuth.

Double click with left button on the mouse or right click on the NPC, then Item Refine window appears. Place in item that needs to be refined in the slot where it says refine item, and place catalysts into the slots to refine. Maximum of 3 catalysts can be used at once.
Click on Refine button to start the procedure.

If Refine procedure succeeds, the item's durability and refine count increases.
The items used as catalysts will disappear whether the procedure succeeds or fails.
However, even the procedure fails, you will not lose the item that tried to refine.

For items that can be refined, ones don't have option (shown as white), magic items which are imbedded with option (shown as blue) can get option with catalyst.

1. Item should be refined first in order for option to be transferred.
   In other words, when refinement fails, option will not be transferred.

- Refine target item: Hero's heavy armor which has magic defense level of +1
- Catalyst 1: Hero's heavy armor which has +3 defense level
- Catalyst 2: Hero's heavy armor which has +2 magic defense level
- Catalyst 3: Hero's heavy armor which has +3 defense rating.

2. When above factors meet up and success in refinement, then option transfer can be successful. But since the option transfer can be randomly successful, it may not be successful all the time.
When you have options as catalyst, then magic option can be transferred which will lead max value to be transferred.

For example, in the case of number 1, option of catalyst 1, 3 will not be transferred, and option of catalyst 2 can be transferred. Thus, since the targeted item has +1 magic defense level and catalyst 2 has the magic defense level of +2, targeted item will have +2 magic defense level.

If you have used the Magic Property Transfer Spell Scroll then, option will be transferred which will result in lose of buff.

• If you have failed in refinement, even though you have used Magic Property Transfer Spell Scroll, buff will not disappear.

3. Even though you have succeeded in refinement, when your catalyst does not carry any transferrable option, then option will not be transferred.

- Refine target Item: Hero's Heavy armor that has +1 magic defense level
- Catalyst 1: Legendary Sword that has +18 attack rating
- Catalyst 2: Legendary Sword that has +18 attack rating and +17 Physical Critical Hit Rate
- Catalyst 3: Legendary Sword that has +22 attack rating and +15 Physical Critical Hit Rate

• Even though you have used the Magic Property Transfer Spell Scroll, in this case, since your items didn't contain options that will meet option transfer requirement, so magic property transfer buff will not go away.

Item and Option: Option will transfer as below.
For example, Long range attack option or defense level option will not be transferred to One handed Sword.
